blossoms

Adding to my ongoing obsession with bees and flowers... these shots are from my excursion last week. They're possible the two best shots of blossoms (and definitely the best shot involving a blossom and a bee). I think it's partially the colour of the sky too... the perfect blue for the pink of the blossoms.

See, I said I was going to start running more photos...

Interestingly enough, being "surrounded" by bees while I'm taking these shots doesn't bother me (I nearly said "doesn't bug me", but thought better of it) even though I guess there is a risk of being stung, sticking one's camera lens right up in the bee's face as it were. I just wish more of the little bastards would have stayed still so I could get their pictures.
