Not the most pleasant of tasks this time around because it's currently 37°C... it was actually cooler at 7pm, but now the temperature is going back up... but supposedly the cool change is coming. Can't come soon enough.
And it's been a week of much less sleep than usual, plus living on lots of sugar (thanks to various Christmas goodies that people keep passing out) and not really doing any work. Thankfully I'm only having a half day tomorrow and a big chunk of that is a Christmas Eve morning tea, then I'm off for a haircut and colour and once that's done I'm footloose and fancy free for a week.
But I'm getting off topic... Ma's presents... not the reckless abandon of last year, and less surprises... but you get that.

Wow, you've either got something freudian or oedopian going on, or your mum is one very lucky lady :)
Go with option 3... it's less generally icky. And she's not just my mum, she's also a friend... and when it all boils down to it, we're pretty much all each other has got. Plus, without getting all mushy and stuff, she goes out of her way to do stuff for me throughout the year, so the least I can do is spoil her as much as I can on her birthday and Christmas.
Now I just feel like an idiot. I have been under the assumption for the whole time I've been reading your blog that Ma was your mother. I blame confusing pseudonyms
Okay, well you can feel like in idiot for a whole new reason now... note that I said "not JUST my mum"... so your first instinct was the right one. Silly rabbit. ;)
I give up, I'm packing my laptop up and going home. Or at least somewhere else in the house where I can't hear my housemates having sex...
You have such a knack in wrapping prezzies. I love seeing the finished parcels every year. They look absolutely gorgeous as usual. :)
Awww poor Janek... I have both been there and experienced that, so I can sympathise. Playing very unsexy music at loud volume or watching something loud and obnoxious on the teevee usually helps.
And Sunshine, trust me, I am a less disciple of the true Master of the Present Knack (ie Ma)... she's all about paper and ribbon and stuff and things... me, I just shove stuff in bags and boxes and slap a little ribbon on it.
But thanks :)
