rhinovirus ahoy

fluffy common coldURGH!

Somebody shoot me... please!!!

I got to work this morning will the full intention of leaving at lunchtime, which was just what I ended up doing... I started coming down with a cold yesterday, but yesterday afternoon and last night it came on with a vengeance, and now I just want to remove my head and possibly dropkick it across the room.

It has to be partly due to the pregnant girly at work who started with a cold sometime this week (and she sits just on the other side of a partition from me), added to the fact that I'm getting less sleep than usual, so my body is just falling apart left, right and center... then there was the day of cold from Monday, and getting up at the crack of dawn when it's freezing to go on my walk... all these things have conspired, and now I feel like caca... and a night of interrupted sleep last night because I kept tossing and turning from the whole snotty nose issue hasn't helped matters either.

On the plus side, everyone around me at work had a day off today, so I was basically going to be at a loose end at some point, so it's probably better that I came home early and was at a loose end here where at least I can dose myself up with hot honey and lemon drink, watch episodes of West Wing and Happy Tree Friends and not have to pretend to be nice (or at the most civil) to anybody.

Seriously though... they landed a man on the moon, but they still haven't worked out how to cure the common cold... what the hell is up with that?

Yeah I can never remember either... but I always end up with a craving for something odd that I wouldn't normally want... nothing weird like sheep's brains or anything, just stuff I can usually take or leave.

I love Happy Tree Friends. Sam and I were watching it on his lappy on Christmas Day when his brother Josh got 2 DVDs worth of the sadistic fun. :P

And Tom - be a good boy, make some chicken soup, and drive it down to Adelaide. ;)

I'm still jealous that you got the HTF showbag at your show last year :P

Your memory of the tinniest details just never ceases to amaze me. :)

You have NO idea... hehehehe... it's my gift...

I might not remember why I came into the kitchen, but I'll remember tiny pointless minutia for years and years and years.

Also, I was jealous, so that kind of helps fire the memory banks ;)
